This was cool!
I was at the London Home and Garden show, not really enjoying it, feeling like all of the booths were so cookie cutter, and then I walked into this other area at the back. There was a booth there about outdoor water gardens called “The Blooming Bog”. There was this woman, she was anything but cookie cutter, looked almost a little like Treelawny. She almost pulled me aside, but definitely pulled me into her presence. She was maybe 60, but had this charming smile and a sparkle in her blue eyes that was, well, this was Manannan. He had told me when I began this challenge that he would appear to me in another flesh. She told me about the importance of the joy of doing nothing, and about the difference between those who live to be 100, and those who do not, were the ones who took time to relax, who took those walks at 9 o’clock every night, and really savoured life. She told me that I needed to slow down, enjoy the moment, and just spend time in quiet bliss. She invited me out to the shop, which had water gardens, and places to just chill.
It was really powerful. I don’t do relax, typically. I am THE A-type personality. I stop when I collapse at the end of the day. Any time that is spent not in high gear is spent in front of the television. This needs to stop. And now, I am under orders from Manannan to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, the water lilies.
