I am officially 1/3 of the way through. After my talk with Manannan, things are going much, much better. It was one of his typical “you never asked” lessons. I should have had this conversation at the beginning about what we both wanted to get out of this. I mean, he came forth and chose me for this. But, without specifying, he was going to make it tough, much like when he acted as a guide to Aengus. Like I said before, I don’t see Manannan as a trickster. I see him as a creative teacher with a sense of humour. Tricksters are out for their own benefit, to use and manipulate. Manannan isn’t like that. He really is gentle and caring.
Set and setting made a huge difference. I showed up in a good mood (sans hormone crap, thank the gods) and was ready to work. I used three different banishing techniques before, and two after.
So here’s how things went, with ocean sounds in the background and altar set up:
3.) waterfall meditation
4.) sit comfortably and envision a beach at sunset with as many senses as possible. Feel the sand and the cool spray of water, hear the waves and seagulls, smell the salt water, etc.
5.) Call for Manannan until he shows up. Use as many of his titles as possible.
6.) Make request (in this case for heart healing).
7.) Turned on the positivity meditation from the Quantum Life Science Institute. I changed a few things in the meditation mentally, like being in the ocean instead of a pool, turning negativity into the pulsating light.
8.) Thank Manannan for his presence, bid him farewell (don’t dismiss the Tuatha De. Hospitality is key. They are honoured guests, not slaves).
This worked very well. They only thing that I will change next time is to have the volume of the ocean sounds lower, and the volume on the podcast higher. I was straining to hear, and had to actively listen, instead of passively meditating.
I am very glad this turned around.
